Terms of Service
By using Notebook LM Slide Editor at notebooklm-editor.online, you agree to the terms below. They are intentionally short and plain — please read them.
1. The Service
Notebook LM Slide Editor (the "Service") is a free, browser-based tool for editing text in PDF and image files. The Service is provided "as is" without any subscription, contract, or commitment of any kind. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without prior notice.
2. Acceptable Use
You may use the Service for any lawful purpose — personal, educational, or commercial. There is no per-user license fee, and you do not need our permission to use edited outputs for client work, classroom materials, internal company decks, or any similar legitimate use.
The following uses are not permitted:
- Editing official government documents, legal contracts, academic transcripts, or financial records with the intent to misrepresent their content.
- Creating documents that infringe someone else's copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
- Producing materials that defame an individual, harass a group, or contain illegal imagery of any kind.
- Attempting to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service in ways that violate applicable law.
- Running automated scrapers or bots against the Service in a way that degrades performance for other users.
- Attempting to circumvent rate limits, exploit vulnerabilities, or access internal systems you have not been authorized to access.
If we detect a pattern of abusive use originating from a particular network or browser fingerprint, we reserve the right to block access without notice.
3. Your Content
You retain full ownership of every document you upload and every edited file you export. By using the Service, you grant us a strictly limited, temporary license to process your documents through the editing pipeline solely for the purpose of fulfilling your editing request. That license terminates the moment your browser session ends. We do not claim, license, or use your content for any other purpose — including AI training, marketing, or advertising.
4. Third-Party AI Processing
The Service uses Google's Gemini API to perform OCR and style analysis on the regions you select. By using the AI features, you are also bound by Google's terms for that API. The data sent to Gemini is described in detail in our Privacy Policy. If you do not want any data to leave your browser, simply do not use the "Run AI OCR" button — the rest of the editor will continue to function for manual edits.
5. No Warranty
The Service is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind — express, implied, or statutory. We do not guarantee that AI OCR will be 100% accurate, that the Service will be uninterrupted, that exported files will satisfy any particular legal or technical requirement, or that the Service will be compatible with every browser, file format, or font. Always verify edited outputs manually before relying on them in any context where accuracy matters.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Notebook LM Slide Editor and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. This includes (but is not limited to) lost profits, lost data, lost time, reputational harm, or reliance damages.
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operators of Notebook LM Slide Editor from any claim, damage, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by good-faith negotiation will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Seoul, Republic of Korea.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, a notice will appear on the home page for at least 30 days. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
